A very nice little pub with one of the best wheat beers on tap. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and you'll always meet a friendly face.
Cute little bistro. The service is friendly and attentive, and they offer baguettes if you're feeling a bit peckish. Since we sat outside, I can't comment on the cleanliness. The waitress came right over with a rag and cleaned our table again. I can imagine she's just as behind on everything! Smoking is allowed inside, but there's a terrace where you can sit outside in the fresh air. If I saw correctly, it's heated by radiators on cold days! I should deduct a star for the women's restroom, but since it's structurally impossible to change, I'll just mention it and leave it as it is. The restroom is much too small; you can barely turn around on your own, let alone if you need to go to the bathroom with small children... I can't say what the men's restroom is like!
We love it here. It's a cozy place to have a drink, and in the summer there's plenty of space to enjoy drinks outside.
At Nanu, you'll find people ranging in age from 18 to 80. Clausi (the owner) allows customers to bring their own food to eat with their morning coffee, such as a buttered pretzel or a sausage roll. Fantastic! Clausi is a real character. Very friendly staff. 👍👍👍
At the 25th anniversary celebration on Sunday, we had beef with horseradish, beets, and bread. The portions were super delicious and generous. The staff is very attentive and treats guests with fast and friendly service. Drinks and food arrive promptly.
We arrived quite lost from Freiburg looking for somewhere to have breakfast, and the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. Good coffee, cold beer, and a clean bathroom. Highly recommended if you're ever in this beautiful corner of Germany.
